UVE D’AGOSTO ROSSO

It is a combination of two wineries of great features, the smoothness of syrah and the strong firmness of alicante giving to this wine great pleasure and versatility. It is rich of red fruits and spieces reaching nose and mouth, it is enhanced chill served at 12 degrees allowing a new and balanced combination with important fish dishes, at 18 degrees at its stronger structure state it is ideal with red meats and medium aged cheese.

warm and medium rainy which allowed a fine growing of wineries and a correct ripening of the grapes thanks to the intervent on the plants foliage, allowing a good ventilation and the insolation of grapes, which donate balanced wines with a fine tannic structure and an aromatic feature, pleasant and intense.

2015

quite cold and rainy which conveied a good moisture to plants, during the season it was made several trimmings, and before the vintage a thinning of clusters to allow a correct ripening.

It was a benefit to wines in freshness, tannic charge and elegance with average alcohol contents and a good ageing potential.

FEATURES

The ruby colour stands up with the charme as a precious jewel outstanding in a window shop. The aroma to the nose is like entering a fresh fruit shop: plums, blackberries and cherries alternate each other in a succulence stimulating water mouth. The lack of woods allow syrah a royal entrance, round, powerful and at the same time fresh, captivating and charming. After swallowed, the delicate bitterish note of alicanthe, does not disturb, but caresses the palate anticipating the next bite.

CULINARY ART

Served at 13, serving temperature suggested on label and great accompaniment for red fishes as: soups, caciucco, stocco. At 16 it is suggested with cheeses and succulent meat.
